Refunds, cancellation and returns
This page sets out how cancelling, refunding and returning a website project bought from Nabad actually works. It binds us from the day it is published, and it sits under whatever UAE consumer law already gives you.
What this covers, and your rights under UAE law
This page applies to a website project bought through our quote builder. In it, we and Nabad mean NABAD COMPUTER SOLUTIONS - L.L.C - S.P.C, a one person limited liability company licensed in Abu Dhabi under commercial licence CN-6501499, and you means the person or business that paid.
This is our policy. It does not reduce any right you have under UAE consumer law. Where the law gives you more than this page does, the law applies and this page gives way.
UAE law gives no general cooling-off period and no change-of-mind right for an online purchase. There is no fourteen-day window to walk away for any reason, and we are not going to imply one.
Every right on this page is one of two things. Either it is a statutory right that depends on a cause, such as work that was not delivered, was late, was defective, or was not as described. Or it is a promise we have chosen to make, which binds us once we publish it. We would rather say that plainly than let you assume a right that does not exist.
The deposit
A deposit of 50% of your configured project total, paid in UAE dirhams. The balance falls due on completion, and we hand over on receipt of it in cleared funds.
The deposit holds your place in the build queue and pays for the first stage of the work. It is not a fee for producing the quote, and it is not a booking charge we keep whatever happens. What becomes of it if you cancel is set out below.
The order of the last two steps matters, so here it is plainly. We tell you in writing when the work is complete, and the balance falls due at that point. Handover follows on receipt of cleared funds: we deploy to your domain, transfer the assets and the accounts, and assign the code, design and content to you. Until the balance is paid you have the work on our staging link to review. Our terms set out exactly what passes to you and when.
Prices are in UAE dirhams and carry no VAT. Nabad Computer Solutions is not registered for VAT, because its turnover is below the AED 375,000 mandatory registration threshold. No VAT is charged and no VAT line appears on your invoice. If we become registered for VAT we will say so on our terms page, and VAT will be added at the rate then in force to invoices issued after that date; prices already agreed in a signed scope will not change.
We issue you an invoice for every payment you make to us. We write it and send it ourselves · this website does not generate it, and there is no account for you to log into.
Cancelling before work starts
Cancel before design work starts and we refund the deposit in full.
Email us and say you want to cancel. No form, no fee, and no reason needed.
Design work normally starts the business day after your deposit clears, and the written scope we send you names the start date. So you always know which side of that line you are on before you decide.
That is the date design work starts. The delivery clock is a separate thing and starts later · see "If we are late" below · so the two dates will usually not be the same, and your written scope names both.
Cancelling after work starts
Once design work has started, we refund the deposit less the value of the work actually performed up to the day you tell us to stop, and we send you a written statement of that work. Anything left over is refunded to the card you paid from.
The statement lists what was done and which stage of your written scope it belongs to. A stage is valued at the milestone percentage set out in that scope. Where your scope sets no milestone percentages, the value is the proportion of the agreed deliverables completed. Your scope may set a basis more favourable to you than either of those, and then that one applies; it never sets a worse one. If the work performed is worth less than the deposit, the difference comes back to you. If you think the statement is wrong, say so and we will go through it with you line by line.
We charge you for the work we actually did and for nothing else. UAE law would additionally entitle us to the profit we would have earned on the part we never built. We do not charge it, our terms say the same thing, and this published page is the measure we hold ourselves to.
You may ask us instead to hold the unused value as credit against work in the next twelve months. That is a choice you can make, never a substitute for the refund. If you do not ask for the credit, we refund the money.
If we are late
If we miss a delivery date we agreed with you in writing, and the delay was not caused by us waiting on you, you may cancel and receive a full refund.
A full refund here means the deposit and anything else you have already paid us for that project, returned in full. This promise is stronger than UAE law requires. We publish it because we intend to be held to it.
What counts as an agreed date, and what stops the clock
We put the delivery window in your written scope before work begins. As a guide: 7 to 14 business days for a standard build, 3 to 5 with Priority delivery, and 14 to 21 for larger e-commerce or multilingual builds. The clock starts on the later of the day we confirm the written scope with you and the day you have given us every item on the inputs checklist. It pauses while we are waiting on you, and restarts when the outstanding item arrives.
So the date that binds us is the one written in your scope, not the guide range on our website. When we start waiting on you, we tell you in writing that the clock has paused, and we tell you in writing when it starts again. If we never told you the clock was paused, it was not paused.
If the work is defective or not as described
If what we deliver does not match your written scope, is incomplete, or does not work the way we described it, you have three remedies and you choose between them.
- A full refund. Where the service was not provided at all, or was not fulfilled.
- A proportionate partial refund. Where part of what you paid for was delivered correctly and part was not, the refund matches the part that was not.
- Correct re-performance, free of charge. We do the work again properly, at no cost to you, and we start within 5 business days of your report.
The choice between the three is yours to make. We do not make it for you, and we do not decide on our own whether the delivered work matches the scope.
Where the failure is ours, we will re-perform at your first request. If we refuse, fail, or drag it out, you are entitled to a full refund instead, including the deposit.
The correction period: 60 days from handover
We correct any defect measured against your written scope free of charge, where you report it within 60 days of handover. We start putting it right within 5 business days of your report. If your written scope names a longer period, that longer one applies; it never names a shorter one.
Those 60 days are a warranty we give, not a limit on the law. They do not cut down the statutory grounds set out below, they do not shorten anything UAE law gives you, and reporting a defect inside them costs you nothing.
A revision round is not a defect
One full revision round is included. It runs after the first preview and covers one consolidated set of changes, given to us in writing within 10 business days of the preview link. Further rounds are quoted and agreed with you in writing before they start, never billed as a surprise.
If you do not respond within those 10 business days, we ask you once more in writing, and if that second request also goes unanswered we treat the work as accepted 5 business days later. Acceptance keeps the project moving. It does not shorten the 60-day correction period above, and it does not affect your rights under UAE law.
That round is for changes of preference. A defect is a different thing: the work does not match what your written scope says it would be. Asking us to fix a defect does not use up your revision round, and we do not treat a defect report as feedback.
Your statutory return grounds
Separately from anything we promise here, UAE law lets you demand a return and a refund on a service bought online where any of the following applies.
- It violates UAE legislation.
- It is defective, incomplete, damaged, or contrary to how it was described.
- Delivery is so delayed that you can no longer use it for its purpose.
- It breaches the digital contract between us, or the terms we published.
- It falls within any other case specified by a UAE Ministerial decision.
These grounds come from the law, not from us. Nothing on this page narrows them, and you do not need our agreement to rely on one.
What we cannot refund, and why
Some amounts in a project are paid straight through to somebody else. Where we collect them at all, it is only to pass them on.
- Domain registration fees. Paid to the registrar.
- Commercial font licences. Issued by the type foundry on its own terms. Where you took the Premium typeface add-on, our fee for choosing and setting the font up is ours and is refundable like the rest of the project; the foundry's licence fee is not.
- Third-party subscriptions, such as a newsletter or booking service. Paid to that provider.
- Payment-processing fees on your own future sales, once your site is taking payments. Those are charged by the provider on your transactions, not on ours.
Once one of these is paid to the provider it follows that provider's own refund rules, and we cannot return money we never held. We hand you the receipt for every one of them so you can deal with the provider directly.
Our own fee for setting any of them up is a different matter. That is our work, and it is refundable on exactly the same terms as the rest of the project.
Work made to your specification
A website built to your own written specification is not a stock item. There is nothing to send back and nothing to put on a shelf, so a return in the ordinary sense does not apply to it.
What applies instead are the three remedies above: a full refund, a proportionate partial refund, or correct re-performance, at your election. That is the whole of the difference. Being bespoke does not make the work exempt from this page. If it is defective, late, or not what your scope says, the remedies above apply in full.
How to ask for a refund
Email hello@nabadcs.ae with Refund request in the subject line. That channel is open permanently. There is no form to fill in and no charge for asking.
What to include
- Your name and the name of the project.
- The date and the amount of the payment, so we can match it to the transaction, and an email address we can reply to.
- What you are asking for: to cancel, a full refund, a partial refund, or re-performance.
- Why, in your own words. If it concerns a defect or a missed date, point us to the line in your written scope.
This website collects no email address anywhere, so the only address we can have for you is one Ziina passes on with your payment. Write to us at hello@nabadcs.ae and we will reply to the address you write from. If you would rather we used a different address, say which one in your first message.
What we commit to
- Acknowledgement within one business day, with a reference number for your request. We put that reference on everything we send you about it, and you can quote it back to us at any point.
- A decision within five business days of that acknowledgement. If we need something from you before we can decide, we ask for it once, in writing, and say exactly what is outstanding.
- The refund instructed within five business days of our agreeing to it.
- A written statement of account whenever we are refunding part rather than all, showing how the figure was reached.
Those four are commitments we have set for ourselves, not statutory periods. We publish them so you can hold us to a number instead of a feeling. The same one business day and five business days apply to any complaint you write to us about, whichever of our pages sent you there.
How the money comes back
Refunds go back the way they came. We instruct the refund through Ziina to the same card or account the payment came from. We cannot send it to a different card, and we do not refund in cash. We refund in credit only if you ask us to. Once we have instructed it, the money lands on the original card on your card issuer's own timetable · usually a few working days · and that part is not ours to control or to speed up.
If you are not satisfied with our answer
Tell us first. Reply on the same reference, say why you disagree, and a person will look at the request again rather than repeat the first answer. We do not close a request without telling you the outcome in writing.
If we still cannot settle it between us, you can take it further. You may raise the matter with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development or with the UAE Ministry of Economy. For an e-commerce dispute, a Dispute Resolution Committee may be formed to hear it.
Nothing on this page takes away that route, and nothing on this page asks you to give up the courts. The courts of Abu Dhabi remain open to you.
Version and effective date
Version 1.0. Effective 30 August 2026.
The version of this page in force on the day you paid your deposit is the one that governs your project. If we change this page, the change applies to purchases made after it takes effect, and we update the version number and the effective date shown at the top.
